Jeannette joined the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy (ALBC) team in August of 2005. She came to the organization with 20+ years experience working with animals in the non-profit sector. ALBC is a non-profit dedicated for over 35 years to the conservation of historic and endangered breeds of livestock and poultry.
Jeannette uses her knowledge to plan and implement ALBC breed conservation programs, and works directly with farmers seeking advice on rare breeds. She is a regular contributor for several nationally published magazines. Her rare breed photography has been seen extensively online and in newspapers, books, and magazines across the globe. At home with her family, she maintains a heritage-breeds farm with a focus on rare breed chickens and endangered Marsh Tacky horses.
