  Julie is a permaculture practitioner living lightly and growing soil on an acre of abused ancient sand dune. Even though her family has lived at this location for two years, the environmental response and recovery has been astonishing. They have integrated a small diverse flock of pastured laying hens to fertilize and till the compost, and they they raise rarebreed Lilac rabbits that they show, in addition to growing a good amount of their food. They also hold local educational garden meetings to educate and share with others.
